i got a job at as a retail assistant AGAIN.

i think i never ever learn from past experiences, i told myself i wouldn't wanna do retail again but here i am...

so boring cause the shop's quite high end which = litte customers and no shopping while working.

but the pay was quite attractive...

money faced girl can't feel her legs now. boo hoo. ):

my dad didn't allow me to get the waitress job. he said the pay's too low and the job's too tiring. i think he's happier seeing his nerd daughter cooped up at home reading novels. HAHA. but this way i still get my allowance so i'm fine with being a loser! yay! lol joking, i don't wanna be a useless bum, i have an interview tomorrow.

since i'm free and really bored now... i shall blog about the taiwan trip! starting with the day when they came over cause when i'm with my relatives i don't do anything much...

DAY ONE

so on 16th jan (saturday), my aunt fetched my mum and i to the airport where i was supposed to meet the other 3. then she fetched us all to taipei so we could check into the hotel, before driving back us all to tong hua jie.

this is the street near the place we first stayed in! there was some mix up with the hotels so we only stayed here for one night.

looks exactly like the pictures they posted on the internet! i was so afraid that it was a scam and the room would be dirty and smell of cigarettes. HAHA. it's actually not a hotel, some apartment that they rent out on a daily basis so it's cheaper than hotels, like 1600NT per night only!

dinner at tong hua jie: ma la chou tofu, oyster omelette, ma jiang mian and papaya milk.

after tong hua jie my aunt fetched us back to the hotel and then drove back to keelung with my mum. i think she spent a lot on petrol money, i felt so guilty. ):

our healthy supper: mango salad, mochi, strawberries

after supper we decided to go downstairs for a walk. lazy wee wee was too lazy to change so she wore her tweety bird pjs and reebok shorts down. HAHAHA. she looked like she just escaped from an asylum, we were so embarassed to walk beside her la.

DAY TWO

on the 2nd day we deposited our luggages at the office (they transported our luggages to the 2nd apartment for free) and then walked to the nearest train station, zhongxiao fuxing and bought our easycards (sort of like ez link cards) and trained to ximen.

their signature curry chicken. i think it's signature cause it looks like lao sai. but still tasty. HAHA. feli ordered cheesy chicken chop, sarah seafood spaghetti and wee baked rice. total bill was about 800+ NT, considered cheap for a restaurant!

after lunch we walked around ximending but didn't buy much there cause the stuff didn't have price tags and we're not good at haggling. i always think that i'll be ripped off. AND I WAS. i bought keychains at 150NT each and realized later that the night markets were only selling them for 80NT each. funny thing is that the lady made it seem like she was doing me a huge favour and told me not to tell others that she only charged me 150 cause her boss would scold her. more like don't tell others that she just scammed me! -.-

since there wasn't much to buy at ximending we trained to houshanpi and walked over to wu fen pu. wu fen pu was bloody crowded cause it was a sunday. all the shopkeepers seemed to be on a bad mood, they were all horribly nasty to us. ):

my relatives joined us at the park near wu fen pu and we all walked over to 饶河夜市.

dinner: yao tun pai gu, feng li xia qiu, ru rou fan, yi kou su chou tou fu.

SO CUTEEEEE! 

some pet craze going on in taiwan, lots of pet shops around...

after 饶河夜市 the 4 of us cabbed to the second apartment. people should always travel in fours, cab fare is much cheaper HAHA.

this apartment was much bigger. it had a kitchen, bathtub and sofa! 

the bathtub was right beside the window! wee wee was going 'oh my god why  is the window right beside the bathtub?!' but feli said it seems like the kind of window where you can look out but no one can see in. so as usual wee wee went to bathe first cause we bully her into setting the water temperature and she came out saying that she could see into the toilets downstairs. HAHAHAHA JOKE. after that we made sure the blinds were always shut, lucky kiasu wee wee went to check the windows first!

DAY THREE

on day three we wanted to take a bus over to zhongxiao fuxing station, but some lady told us it was just 2 bus stops away and we might as well walk. so we walked. and walked. and walked. it took us ages to reach, but eventually we did. and found hello kitty sweets!

hello kitty sweets is a hello kitty restaurant. which means you see hello kitty EVERYWHERE. the menu, the food, the serviettes, the furniture...

total bill was 1570NT (i think). almost twice the bill from the toilet bowl restaurant omg. so we decided we should take more pictures to get our money's worth. HAHA.

after lunch we shopped around 东区 underground street and taipei underground street. sarah and i kept having to sit on the benches to rest cause we're not professional shopping queens. plus wee takes forever to make a purchase, even if it's only NT50!

when we got sick of all the underground streets we trained to jiantan and walked over to 士林夜市.

DAY FOUR

on the fourth day we took a public bus up to 九份. the bus took foreverrrr i kept falling asleep.

we sat some tea house drinking tea and waiting for my relatives to drive up.

my relatives drove us to ye liu. actually i'm not sure where that is but it's just some place near the sea that's famous for cuttlefish and the queen's head.

i think i'm the most awkward person on earth, i took days to start talking to my relatives properly cause i feel really inadequate with my terrible chinese. i got a B for A lvls okay it's not that bad but it's considered terrible in taiwan so i'd rather shut up and not embarass myself. HAHA. i was so afraid that they'll think i'm snobbish and unfriendly cause i keep staring into space whenever they're talking. but mummy said they know i'm the shy and awkward sort so it's alright. anyway, i've gotten past the awkwardness now but i'll be leaving in one and half days. i'm gonna miss this place with all it's awesome food and weather. singapore's weather = death.

the 3 of them went back to sg yesterday. the 6 days with them was really exhuasting cause i was afraid i would be a lousy tour guide. i was. we kept having to ask for directions cause i was just as clueless as them boohoo. we shopped till we dropped and ate like pigs (supper in front of telly almost every night omg). but it was really fun too we made lots of xiaolongbao jokes HAHA. took loads of pictures but i can't upload them now cause i forgot to bring my cable over. ): will blog when i get back!

veddy got me a job as a waitress, i'll be working with her on monday! like right after i get back in sg, desperately in need of money now. (:

gonna be a good daughter now and go socialize with relatives.

mum's really mad cause she told me to pack my luggage yesterday and i told her i'd do it today cause i was busy yesterday (swimming, katong laksa, bbq chicken wings, sugarcane, a lot of walking at ecp). see? told you busy.

but i reached home at 12+ am today cause i was with the bffs screaming our lungs out at bedok. she was about to yell at me cause we have to be awake by 5.30am and my luggage is still unpacked. HAHAHA.

but i managed to pack all my stuff in 15mins! sometimes i amaze myself. k need to get some sleep now or else i'll waste the plane ride sleeping. bye people! (:
